Sanremo, Italy – October 11, 2025 – After nine  fiercely contested races across the waters of  Sanremo, Attila Bakonyi and team Tranquilo (HUN) have been crowned 2025 L30 World Champions, sealing the title on the very last race of the championship in one of the most thrilling finishes in recent years.
The final day dawned with anticipation, clear skies, and a classic Mediterranean breeze. By 12.00 pm, the Race Committee had the 15-boat fleet under way in a steady 10–12 knots from 90°, setting the stage for a showdown between the top three teams.
The final race, which result can not be discarded, started with individual recall for  team Tranquilo. Team Black Sheep led the fleet, but was disqualified for this race. Team Present Perfect finished second and scored the bullet.
In the Corinthian division, the title went to Happy Merida Team (HUN), which ultimately prevailed over Tardex Team (UKR), who took 2nd place and Elisado Team (SUI) – 3rd place.
2026 L30 World Championship will be held in Trieste, Italy, September 20-27, organized by Yacht Club Adriaco in cooperation with Federazione Italiana Vela and International L30 Class Association.
